Iranian prosecutor Mehdi Bakshi has announced that security forces have arrested all the terrorists involved in the bombing attack in the city of Kerman this week, which resulted in the death of more than 90 civilians attending the commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the killing of Iranian Revolutionary Guard elite unit general Qassem Soleimani.

„32 people have been arrested in connection with the Kerman case and they are undergoing preliminary investigations,“ Bakshi said, as reported by the semi-official news agency Fars.

Prosecutor Bakshi also pointed out that 16 bombs were found in the province of Kerman, with explosive power much stronger than the suicide vests used in Wednesday’s attack.

„During the past months, 23 terrorists in the Kerman province have been arrested who were prepared to carry out suicide terrorist attacks,“ revealed the Iranian prosecutor.

According to the Fars news agency, at least 91 people were killed and more than 280 were injured in the explosions.

Bakshi dismissed rumors that the explosive devices used during the attack were placed in garbage cans and detonated remotely. He said the explosions were caused by suicide bombers, one of whom was from Tajikistan.

„The terrorists failed to place any explosives at the cemetery,“ Bakshi said.

The justice minister further stated that the attackers intended to cause chaos and instability in the country in order to advance their political and ideological goals.

Iran has been on high alert following the bombing attack, with increased security measures in place across the country. The Iranian government has also vowed to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice and to prevent any further acts of terrorism in the future.

The bombing in Kerman is the latest in a series of attacks on Iranian soil, highlighting the ongoing security challenges facing the country. The arrest of the suspects and the recovery of multiple bombs demonstrate the severity of the threat posed by terrorist groups operating within Iran.

Bakshi’s remarks have provided much-needed clarity on the situation, assuring the public that authorities are taking decisive action to address the threat of terrorism. The government’s swift response to the attack is a testament to its commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the face of these violent acts.

The Iranian prosecutor’s statement serves as a reminder of the ongoing threat of terrorism in the region and the need for continued vigilance and cooperation in combating this menace. The arrests made in connection with the Kerman bombing represent a significant step forward in addressing the security challenges facing Iran and ensuring the safety of its citizens.

As the investigation into the bombing attack continues, it is imperative that authorities remain diligent in uncovering the full extent of the terrorist network responsible for the attack and bring all those involved to justice. This will send a strong message that acts of terrorism will not be tolerated and that the Iranian government is fully committed to protecting its people and preserving the peace and stability of the country.

The capture and prosecution of the individuals responsible for the bombing attack will serve to deter future acts of terrorism and send a clear signal to those who seek to disrupt the peace and security of Iran. This will also demonstrate the resolve of the Iranian government to confront and eliminate the threat of terrorism, and ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens.

In light of the recent attack, it is essential for the Iranian government to continue to strengthen its security measures and enhance its counterterrorism capabilities to prevent similar incidents in the future. The government must also continue to work with its international partners to address the root causes of terrorism and disrupt the networks that seek to perpetrate violent acts against innocent civilians.
