Vladimir Jugovic, a legend of Red Star, Juventus, and the Yugoslav football national team, gave an interview to the Italian „Gazeta“.

Jugovic touched on the subject of Dusan Vlahovic who is currently playing for his former club from Turin and reflected on the good performances of the Serbian striker since the start of the year.

In 2024, Vlahovic scored as many goals in six matches, and his form is on the rise.

„I am more than surprised, I am happy. These goals are important for Dusan’s confidence, and I hope he continues like this. At Juventus, however, it is not important to prove that you are a great forward, but it is important to raise trophies. I had the privilege of winning everything, and I want the same for Dusan“, said Vladimir Jugovic.

Vladimir was at Juventus from 1995 to 1997 and managed to win the Scudetto, the Champions League, the International Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup.

Jugovic played for Rad, Crvena Zvezda, Sampdoria, Juventus, Lazio, Inter, Atletico Madrid, Austrian Admira Wacker, and German Alen in his rich and trophy-laden career.

He was part of the famous generation of Red Star that won the title of European champion in Bari in 1991.

As for Vlahovic, there were many speculations about his fate at Juventus, where he moved in 2022 from Fiorentina in a transfer worth 80 million euros.

Many European clubs were reportedly interested in signing Dusan, but he ultimately decided to stay at Juventus and proved to be one of the best players in Italy.

Vlahovic is the second top scorer in Serie A, and this season he has scored 12 goals and provided three assists.

The only player better than him is Lautaro Martinez from Inter who scored 19 league goals.
