Lav Petrović Suvajdžić (25) and his wife Martina Petrović Suvajdžić (23), who killed their two children in a rented house in Petrovaradin, then ended their own lives by jumping from a high-rise building in Novi Sad together, were planning to start a new life in this city, not to end it in such a brutal way.
In front of the house in Petrovaradin, where the deceased children were found, there were police, forensics, undertakers, but what is noticeable is the eerie silence in the street and there is no one close to the family. It is worth mentioning that Lav Petrović is from Vranje, while Martina is from Slovakia, and they came to Novi Sad a few years ago with the desire to start their family nest there. It is still unknown how they met and what led them to kill their children and then, holding hands, jump to their deaths from the high-rise building. According to sources, the children were poisoned, presumably with plant poison that is not normally found in the yard.
The presence of a sect in Novi Sad is also being investigated. It is believed that the couple was members of a sect, which may have contributed to their isolation. The police were shocked when they entered the house where Marina and Lav lived as tenants for the past two years, both because of the bodies of the dead children and the scenes they found inside the apartment. The entire house was decorated in black, with motifs and drawings from Egyptian mythology everywhere.
The couple was also associated with a sect, and their isolation may be related to this. Police were shocked when they entered the rented home where the couple lived for the past two years, as they found not only the bodies of the dead children but also a variety of dark and occult decorations including motifs from Egyptian mythology.
After searching the internet, Martina Petrović Suvajdžić’s name does not appear anywhere, and searching Lav Petrović Suvajdžić on Google only brings up a single entry, where a person with that name is listed as a cameraman and producer for an album of a local metal band in Novi Sad.
The investigation into this tragic case continues, as authorities try to understand the motivations behind these horrific actions and whether there were any warning signs that could have been addressed before this tragedy occurred.
