Vesna A. (53), who killed Marija A. (91), was not her biological daughter, but was adopted by her, according to „Blic“ report.

The family of the murdered Marija A. was reportedly wealthy and owned multiple properties in attractive locations. It is suspected that material gain could have been a motive for the murder. A message found next to the old woman’s body stated that the reason for the crime was unresolved property disputes.

As a reminder, the body of Marija A. (93) was found in Voždovac two days ago.

As Republica first reported, Marija was suffocated by her daughter Vesna A. (53) at least two or three days earlier.

In addition to her mother, Vesna left a video message suggesting the possibility of suicide. This soon proved to be true, as Vesna A.’s body was found in her apartment in Vračar, where she hung herself. Neighbors noticed her disappearance and tried to call her, only seeing her legs sticking out of a room through the window.

They called the police, the Emergency Medical Service, and the firefighters to help open the door, thus discovering the crime.

„I haven’t seen grandma for a long time, she was sick, so we all in the neighborhood helped her a bit. I saw her daughter for the last time two days ago. We usually walked our dogs together in the evening,“ said a neighbor. She also mentioned that in the last two days, she noticed strange behavior of their dog, but could not have imagined that a crime had occurred nearby.

„The dog was usually kept inside, but in the last two days, the dog was in the yard. I thought they let him out because of the heat, I couldn’t have imagined that something terrible could have happened in the house, which is why they let the dog out,“ added the neighbor.
